Poster presentations
Posters should be in landscape orientation and have a maximum of 5 feet wide by 3 feet tall. Posters presentations may also include work in progress research. Posters sessions are scheduled for one hour.
Lightning presentations
Lighting presentations are restricted to 5 minutes and provide a means of briefly highlighting a study's background, rationale, procedures, findings, and conclusions. The most effective presentations are polished and engaging and use slides with little text that make effective use of images and figures (one title slide, three study slides maximum). These presentations provide a great way for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to practice brevity and to convey science in an engaging way to an audience of non-specialists. Presentations are judged by the audience, with prizes given to the top three presentations.
Nanosymposium
We are accepting titles and abstracts for nanosymposium talks. These are research talks that should be approximately 12 mins to allow for 3 mins of questions. These talk are open to FACULTY, POSTDOCS, GRADUATE and UNDERGRADUATE student. If you are a student, please ask permission from your PI before submitting a nanosymposium talk.
You can email talk information to hillhout@uwgb.edu before registration or apply during registration.
